June 1986
- first Single Bass gig - two songs at Nottingham University's "Longest Day" festival
December 1986
- UK tour supporting Sheffield band Haze, with singer/songwriter/guitarist Rog Patterson
Autumn 1987
- two-and-a-half-week tour of the Netherlands, with that same lineup
1987 to 1989
- lots of gigs in England, mostly in the Midlands & Yorkshire - Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham, Leicester, Leeds, Bradford etc. Some were support slots, with all kinds of other bands; others were "alternative cabaret" gigs with poets and comedians; others included Oxford & Cambridge College Balls, lots of University Student Union gigs and Glastonbury Festival 1989.
April / May 1990
- 19 dates around the UK supporting Enid (a mutation of The Enid that only did the one tour), including London Marquee & Subterania
December 1991
- Be Your Friend album released on own label Material
April 1992
- featured in Guitarist magazine
1992 to 1994
- radio sessions at BBC Radios Derby, Leicester & Northampton
- radio play of the album on BBC Radio 1 from Bob Harris and John Peel
May 1993
- UK tour supporting guitarist/composer Allan Holdsworth, including Glasgow Mayfest, Bath International Festival & London Orange & Jazz Café
September 1993
- supported The Enid at London Astoria
October 1994
- another tour supporting Allan H, including two excellent nights at the Jazz Cafe, but most dates missed because of a back injury
July 1996
- session for Bob Harris on Greater London Radio (GLR)
July 1997
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Pride festival appearances, in the Bi tent and on the Wow bar stage (London)
September 1997
- UK Bisexual Conference, London, supporting Tom Robinson
May 1998
- 3 SB songs as special guest at the Nottingham gig of Tom Robinson's UK tour - and joined Tom for a version of Power in the Darkness during the encores

- a few excellent gigs, notably at ULU for BiFest and several nights at London's award-winning, tiny, atmospheric live music venue the Twelve Bar Club

- MC in residence at Nottingham Songwriters International, "promoting and encouraging singer/songwriters and the art of songwriting in Nottingham".

2003 to 2007
Mostly dormant, more in a "falling back to regroup" kind of way than a "lost all interest" kind of way.
